Sun Salutation Video

As promised a brief Sun Salutation video filmed by my son, Cyrus.

There are many versions of Surya Namaskar – it is a sequence of postures, flowing one to another, designed to uplift the spirit, bring quietness to the mind and to energise the body. They are best practised in the morning, and if at all possible, outside.

The video show me doing one side, i.e, stepping the right foot back and at the lunge on the end, stepping this same foot forward. Your next round would entail stepping the left foot back and then forward.

I would suggest doing around 4 – 6 rounds to each side.

For a complete (as recommended by the British Wheel of Yoga) practise, you can include a twist and a balance.
